Meet Marissa Murphy Adriaanse, the great grand daughter of Pioneer Linens founder Max Greenberg. Marissa is a bright and vivacious dynamo who can be found at Pioneer Linens during the week, making creative decisions on merchandising, brand partnerships, and events, while also leading the e-commerce team. Marissa is passionate about home and entertaining, and is a life long Palm Beacher, except for a short stint in the Rockies where she got her winter fix working in ski hospitality.
What is your title and role at Pioneer Linens?
E-commerce Director
Color and patterns. I love finding a repeat pattern in a room's decor and thread matching it to make custom embroidered bedding, towels, and home accents.
What is your favorite bedding style?
Super classic, plain SFERRA Giza 45 single hemstitch percale white bed linens, with lots of sleeping pillows, no flat sheet, and duvet.
What is the best business advice you’ve ever received?
Always listen and never feel the pressure to answer a question immediately.

How does a 108-year-old company evolve to stay relevant?
Pioneer Linens has always been able to strive during economic hurdles since 1912. My Great Grandfather Max Greenberg, my grandfather George Greenberg and mother Penny Greenberg Murphy adapted during the Spanish Flu of 1918, Great Depression, Hurricane of 1928, Great Recession of 2008, and now the Corona Virus. The Greenberg Family has always done what it takes for the business to strive according to the times. However, the true reason we are in business is due to our loyal clients and the support of our community. It takes a village!
Who is your dream dinner guest, and what table would you design for him/her?
I would love to have dinner with iconic designer Dorothy Draper. She was known for vibrant style of mixing colors and patterns which is my favorite way to dress a table. However, it was a real dream this past January working with Sarah Wetenhall of The Colony Hotel to help dress the tables for the designer Kips Bay Decorator Showhouse kickoff dinner with feature guest Steele Marcoux of Veranda magazine. The tables designed were inspired Slim Aarons Palm Beach iconic table setting with custom round white pique cloths, fringe rattan placemats, linen napkins and a mix of cute flamingo and parrot napkin rings.
